Naples comes at you at full volume: scooters threading impossible gaps, laundry strung across sunless alleys, a shrine to Maradona next to one to the Madonna, and pizza so good it reorders your priorities. It's grand and grimy in the same glance — Baroque churches above graffiti, Vesuvius brooding over the bay. It doesn't perform for tourists. You either fall hard or flinch, and both are fair.
